The Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum (KS:CPC) is a comprehensive child safety and respectful relationships curriculum for children and young people age 3 to year 12, developed by the South Australian Department for Education. The KS:CPC is mandated in all South Australian government and Catholic education sites and used in independent schools.
|
Teachers that deliver the KS:CPC to children and young people must attend the KS:CPC Educator course, which is available for pre-service teachers (3rd; 4th year, and postgraduate) from Flinders
University, University of Adelaide, University of SA and Tabor College. For more information, visit our educator website http://kscpc.2.vu/KSCPC-Website or contact us via phone 8463 5910 or email [email protected] |

We train teachers to confidently manage the wide range of risks associated with running school excursions, camps, co-curricular programs, and international tours. With industry-leading trainers and both online and face to face training options, we help schools significantly reduce risk, improve safety, and protect their reputations through industry best-practice training and support. Started in 2015, Xcursion is run by a highly experienced team of educators and risk managers who have run countless school and university programs throughout Australia and internationally, providing great educational opportunities for their students through careful planning and pro-active risk management.

We provide risk management training for teachers for school excursion and activities and a great pre-service option for students as schools just don’t train their teachers in this, yet expect them to know how to write risk assessments and plan for risks on programs with no context nor experience. The main two courses which we would suggest are most relevant to pre-service teachers are:
https://xcursion.thinkific.com/courses/excursion-activity-risk-assessments https://xcursion.thinkific.com/courses/risk-management-boostershot-school-excursions Both give pre-service teachers a solid foundation for the management of risk for school activities and supervision and set them up for success when entering a prac or teaching service. We could offer a pilot program and discounted rate for your pre-service students if you’re interested. Here’s a link to our full course catalogue and a blurb about us and our logo is attached. |
